Founding principle

Arctic Bison products are designed from the ground up to generate as little metadata as possible — and to be architecturally incapable of producing the records most commonly sought in legal compulsion processes.
This is not a policy. It is a design decision. You cannot subpoena what does not exist.
What we believe
Organizations should control where their infrastructure lives, how it's secured, and who has visibility into it. That is not a feature we offer. It is the entire premise.
Policy can be changed under legal pressure. Architecture cannot. We build systems that are structurally incapable of producing the records most commonly sought in compulsion processes.
Altostratus collects no account metadata. Rudis generates no billing identity. We do not build privacy tools and then use Stripe, Google Analytics, or AWS. The architecture applies to us too.
Privacy is a universal value. Arctic Bison takes no political positions and does not publicly identify clients or engagements. We serve operators who need the tools. That is the full extent of our selection criteria.
What we are not
Arctic Bison is not a VPN provider. We are not a consumer privacy app. We are not an anonymity network.
We build sovereign infrastructure management tools for people who already understand the threat model and need the right tooling to act on it. We do not explain why privacy matters. Our job is to give you the tools to act on it.
